Large Cherry/Sycamore Tankard with brass hoops

 Cherry is usually a golden-brown colour (after it's been exposed to the light for a little while - it's pink when first cut) although it frequently has streaks of much lighter colour. I've tried lots of woods in combination with Cherry and found that the most attractive are Ash and Sycamore. Sycamore is virtually white when first cut and darkens gradually to a very pale straw colour.  Cherry certainly goes well with Sycamore and this combination has proved popular on my craft stall.
